4 Weeks till completion of Scotts 1967 GT!!
We are just 4 weeks out till the opening day of the 2012 SEMA Show and the debut of Scott’s fully restored 1967 GT Convertible. There’s nothing like that SEMA rush and Jerry is full of adrenaline right now as he is aggressively working on getting the 67 Mustang completed in time for its big reveal.
Since our last big update, SSBC has come on board with providing their A121 Disc Brake Conversion Kit, available under part number DBC-A121 which Jerry has installed. Thanks to Cliff, Distinctive Industries has also come on board with providing the full seat upholstery, quarter panel upholstery, and sun visors which will be completed and installed by this weekend. Check out part # 67CV-S-FULL-DR for details.
Currently all glass has been installed and door and quarter windows have been aligned. All electrical is complete and tested and every under dash component has been restored and installed. All the undercoating has been completed. Headlights and tail lights have been installed along with front and rear bumpers. All suspension, front and year has been rebuilt, restored and installed. Steering column has been disassembled, blasted, detailed and re-installed. The 4 Speed Transmission in being rebuilt and will be installed by this weekend. The engine is being rebuilt and will be installed the weekend of the 20th.
Before the test drive, we still need to install the interior, convertible top, motor and trans, and the exhaust. Once all that is done we will bleed the brakes, get the alignment done and give it a nice wash and detail so that it looks it best at the SEMA Show. Stay tuned for more updates.
